For the Love of Games

There was a time, in the beginning of the AFL career, that the New England Patriots would have struggled to make it to a championship game. After their move to the suburbs and a name change - from Boston Patriots to New England Patriots - along with a stadium to call home, the Patriots began to mark their territory, and haven’t yet stopped. With numerous championship titles and broken records, fans expect nothing less than a breath taking season in 2009.

The AFC Eastern Division houses many great football teams with the New York Jets being one of them. The Jets, currently, do not have a stadium they can call home as they are sharing a stadium, in Rutherford, New Jersey, with the New York Giants. However, the opening game of the 2010 season will be held in the anxiously awaited new stadium - the Meadowlands Stadium. Either way, Jets fans anxiously await the ‘09 season as they have already began purchasing tickets before spring training has even begun.

Have you ever debated with a friend as to the most important position in football? I’m sure the answer has varied depending on who you have asked but by far the offensive linemen are one of the most important positions. If they don’t play their positions correctly then they won’t provide their team with a chance to score.

Offensive Linemen are some of the most important players in football. It is up to them to make sure that all of the offensive plays run smoothly. If not than the offensive team doesn’t score and the game can’t be won. It is for this reason that they have to be on top of their game and making plays correctly.

The Tennessee Titans are one of those teams that people adore and love to follow. The team has only been around since 1999, but they sure have built a name and reputation for themselves. Loyal fans consistently fill stadium seating at every home game, leaving only a handful of nosebleed tickets for last minute shoppers. The Titans have fought hard to win their place in the South Division and will do whatever it takes to keep it.

The Houston Texans are excited about the 15th pick in the draft for the 2009 season. They played a good game, last year, and are working strengthening their weaknesses, some of which were noted in the 2008 season. The addition of a good defensive player would put the team in a good position for a good winning record this year.
